When and where is the Kira’s Day 2008?
Kira’s Day will take place on June 7, 2008 at the the Hellenic (Greek) Community Centre in Calgary, close to Kira’s family and friends! The address is:

What are the planned activities for this year’s Kira’s Day event?
Our 2008 event marks the 5th Anniversary for Kira’s Day and fundraising efforts in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital. The theme this year is Jeans and Jewels, an evening of casual chique. A sample of things to look forward to; entertainment, including live music, wine and cheese tasting, beer sampling, food with a flair, cocktails, Wii gaming stations and of course our infamous silent and live auctions. So put on your best designer denim, purchase our fabulous pendant for a little glam and we’ll see you at this year’s event.

How successful has Kira’s Day been in the past?
Over the past 4 years Kira’s Day has raised over $400,000. The money has been used to purchase and fund the following projects:

• The Alberta Children’s Hospital’s first Dual Beam Spectrophotometer which will aid in the diagnosis of metabolic diseases.
• support palliative care and grief service
• build Rotary Flames House, Alberta’s first children’s hospice
