This website is a tribute to our daughter Kira Bekker. Kira passed away on January 4, 2005 at the age of 19 months. Kira was a remarkable little girl, with curly dark hair, a soft fair complexion and a fighting constitution. Kira was only here for a short time, but she made a great impact on everyone she met and those who heard her story. On Kira’s 1st birthday, June 6, 2004, those people she touched came together to donate more that $50,000 to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. In Kira’s memory, we continue to celebrate her birthday and raise money in her name . Over the last 4 years, Kira’s Day has proudly raised over $370,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital!
